A must visit brunch spot: Arrows & Sparrows

I had my first meeting in Dubai yesterday. As I was travelling from Sharjah to Dubai Media City I thought I would set off early in case of traffic, not knowing I would turn up 2 hours early. I have just got hold of an app called Grabbd where you can save wish lists of places to visit, so I checked to see if any of my ‘grabs’ were nearby via map view. Sure enough, one place was very close.

Arrows & Sparrows Instagram is an absolute delight to flick through. It boasts a colourful and healthy span on options that will leave both the food conscious and Instagram addict with something to choose.

The aesthetic of A&S includes a copper and teal interior, which is probably why I loved it from the off (teal is my fave colour). It’s clean, modern, with greenery adorning the ceiling. A large flamingo print leans against the side, near their fish tank.

They do latte art of a bear; they do lattes in an ice cream cone if you want. It oozes coolness.

I went there hoping to try this amazing looking brekkie option but I was sadly too late – the menu switches at 1pm.

Instead I opted for the pan seared salmon fillet served with broccoli mash, home made orange ginger sauce, crispy leeks and dried lime (65AED). It tasted amazing! And of course looked incredible on the pastel pink plate, decorated with edible flowers.

To drink, I added an acai smoothie (28AED) which was made from acai berries, banana, cucumber, honey and OJ. It came in a glass rimmed with coconut and it was truly tasty.

Due to the vast number of eateries on my to do list, I was hoping to tick Arrows & Sparrows off, satisfied that I had dined there. It isn’t entirely ticked though, as there is no doubt in my mind that I will be back to see these guys to try out more of the menu; it’s simply too good not to return.
